3 step Approach to Enfocus Psychiatry

01

Evidence-Based Therapy

At EnFocus, therapy is never one-size-fits-all. We take a multi-modality approach—combining CBT, psychodynamic therapy, trauma-informed care, existential work, and more—to tailor each session to your needs.

We don’t just address symptoms like anxiety or mood shifts—we build skills for assertiveness, boundary-setting, emotional regulation, and reframing unhelpful thoughts. Our work starts with a focused 12-week structure to create real progress, then transitions into maintenance care as you stabilize and grow.

02

Psychopharmacological Interventions

We take the least-invasive approach to medication—prescribing only when necessary, and always in collaboration with you. Our goal is never to “numb” or overmedicate, but to support your healing when symptoms interfere with functioning, growth, or therapy progress.

One of the most unique aspects of our model is that therapy and medication happen in the same room. There’s no middleman. No juggling between separate providers. Because your therapist is your psychiatric provider, treatment is fully integrated—ensuring every decision is made with insight into both your story and your symptoms.

03

Human-Centered Psychiatry (What Sets Us Apart)

Most psychiatric systems are fast, fragmented, and impersonal. You meet one person for therapy, another for meds. Sessions are rushed. You’re often a chart, not a human.

At EnFocus, we do things differently. We don’t just manage symptoms—we help you step back, examine patterns, and move with clarity through real change.

The goal isn’t just stabilization—it’s expanding consciousness so you can live your most optimal life. That means gaining insight into how you think, feel, relate, and navigate through life.

Medication is never the first answer

Integrating your faith into the healing process through spiritual interventions

Treatment is continually monitored and adjusted to meet changing needs.

The individual’s voice and preferences are central throughout the process.

this mission is personal

I lost my older brother-someone so talented, full of life, a poet. He loved animals and nature, but he suffered in silence, never quite finding the voice to ask for help. Life doesn’t have to feel like hell on earth. It doesn’t have to be hopeless. There is always hope. Some never get the chance to ask for it.

You do.

FAQs

Who is eligible for EnFocus treatment?

We welcome all individuals seeking care. However, insurance coverage is currently available only for clients residing in Indiana or California. Out-of-pocket options are available for others.

Your care is led by Nickolas Falangas, PMHNP, who combines clinical expertise with a creative, human-centered approach. With a background in both psychotherapy and medication management, Nickolas personally guides each step of your treatment.

We don’t split your care between strangers. Therapy and medication happen with one provider who actually knows you. Our approach is slow, intentional, and focused on expanding your capacity—not just reducing symptoms.

No. Many clients work with us using therapy alone. Medication is only introduced if it’s necessary and aligned with your goals.

Yes. In addition to insurance clients in Indiana and California, we work with private pay clients nationwide. Superbills are available for out-of-network reimbursement.

We don’t offer quick med checks or refills without evaluation. Every client begins with a full assessment, and we only prescribe when it’s safe, appropriate, and ethically sound

The core of our therapy model is a 12-week foundational phase. After that, clients may step down to monthly or as-needed maintenance visits.

Your word is a lamp to my feet, a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105

A Research-Based Approach to Mental Health & Consciousness

Why CBT Is the Gold Standard for Therapy Today

CBT remains the leading approach in treating depression, anxiety, and trauma—thanks to decades of research proving its effectiveness, adaptability, and lasting results.

The Dopamine System

Heavy cannabis use may alter the same dopamine pathways implicated in psychosis, suggesting a biological bridge between marijuana and increased risk for psychotic symptoms

Does Combining Therapy and Medication Work Better?

For individuals with severe or chronic depression, combining antidepressants with psychotherapy leads to significantly better outcomes—especially when used sequentially.

ABOUT

How it Started

My path into mental health care was shaped by deep personal experience and a decade spent documenting humanity as an international photojournalist. From working in crisis units to helping clients heal from trauma, I approach psychiatry as both a science and art.
I don’t believe in fast-food psychiatry. I practice a slow, thoughtful model that blends psychopharmacology with talk therapy, drawing from CBT, psychodynamic work, and holistic methods. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, mood instability, trauma, or substance use, our sessions are customized to your real life—not a checklist.
As a trilingual provider (English, Spanish, Romanian), I’m committed to cultural nuance and compassionate care.

Nickolas Falangas PMHNP – Founder of Enfocus Psychiarty

“I was hesitant to try psychiatry again, but this experience was different from the start. The care is holistic and my faith was also incorporated. It’s not just about a diagnosis it’s about actually learning tools that are applicable.”

“I tried every coping skill but depression was happening on a chemical level. Ever since junior high, I struggled with crippling depression — isolating in my room, avoiding people, and battling suicidal thoughts. But since starting treatment, I am finally getting relief.”
